Photocopied 4-panel J-cards on linen resumé paper. Self-released, no markings on cassette. Roughly 150 made, not numbered or editioned. From insert: "we recorded this in dan's room on two saturdays in may [1997], with a four-track that matt anderson was kind enough to borrow to us, knowing that we didn't really know how to use it. we also used tom bierer's mixer. mixing this tape was also done in dan's bedroom. matthew paul worked on this more than anybody else. 'imagine finland's green' was originally called 'long-term descent' and was recorded to appear on a compilation assembled by keith krueger. this version is exactly what will be on that compilation. 'jinx removing' is a jawbreaker song."
