"Skin" Original Recording Performed by Moby Jane, Available on "This Metal Coil" Tracks 9-12 were recorded live at Howard's Club H, Bowling Green, OH. April 11-12th, 1996. Track 13 is a rare and unreleased recording from 1986. Sometime in the early 1990s in Toledo, Ohio's nightclub scene, original music not only became acceptable, but almost the rule. This was a very exciting time for us and other local songwriter/performers. For the first time our own music could be showcased before large audiences on weekends at all of the most popular clubs. Record stores, local press, and clubowners have all shown great support for the change. Although Toledo radio stations have yet to grasp this trend, alot of determined and talented individuals were collectively responsible for this creative upsurge. This CD is our tribute and gift to them. On this CD, we cover songs by eight local bands who are our personal favorites and whose material we felt we could do some justice. These "Blatant Ripoffs" are dedicated to everyone who supports the Toledo original music scene. Thanks for making it all happen.
