The Dallas Convention Center was the name for a convention center located in the Convention Center District of downtown Dallas, Texas (US). It was originally designed and constructed in 1957 as the Memorial Auditorium, Dallas by George L. Dahl. It was expanded for the first time and renamed the Dallas Convention Center in 1973 (designed by Harrell & Hamilton). It was again expanded in 1984, in 1994 and in 2002. Since 2013 it is known as The Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center (KBHCCD). Among others, the venue has has hosted Prince twice, Led Zeppelin and Madonna once, and, during Queen’s first American tour, the British band filmed a music video there.
