Schloss Charlottenburg, Berlin

Palace in Berlin, Germany, built by Friederich III in 1699 for his wife Sophie Charlotte. The palace chapel ("Eosander-Kapelle") has a baroque-style 16' organ (II/P/26), the original of which was built by Arp Schnitger in 1706. This instrument (partially modified by Dinse in 1888 and finally restored by Kemper in 1934) was completely destroyed during the Second World War in 1944, but a replica was built and installed by Karl Schuke in 1970. Tuning: Equal temperament, pitch a' = 415 Hz.
