Record label established in June 1987. It was a merger of the former EMI America label and Manhattan Records. In September 1988 the label was discontinued and the catalog# was transferred to Capitol Records and EMI USA; despite this, the EMI Manhattan branding was retained on represses of the label's catalog (e.g. The Dreaming, which was released between the mid-1990s and 2004 based on the EMI MFG. glass master).
