Precaria is an obscure Black/Death Metal entity forged in the Mexican abyss by musician and lyricist Ianzel, whose earliest compositions date back to 2004 but remained unreleased for years due to the lack of proper recording gear and a fitting drummer.
The integration of Opposus Discordia (later known as Mando Mortuary) on drums allowed the duo to begin performing live in 2010 across Monterrey and surrounding areas, during an era when cartel violence was at its peak.
After years of independent production, the full-length Precaria ex Humanitas was released, and the project gained notoriety worldwide — followed by the Nigraluminiscencia compilation, regarded as a second album.
Core members have operated in Mexico, the USA and Italy, with several musicians joining over the years as part of the live lineup.
Sung mainly in Spanish, the lyrics explore death gnosis, spiritual alchemy, Mexican necroculture, psychological descent, chaos and violence.
