Frédéric Rossif

Frédéric Rossif was a French film and television director, born August 14, 1922 in Cetinje, Montenegro, in former Yugoslavia, which he fled wuring WWII. He specialized in wildlife and contemporary history, political and art documentaries, frequently using archive footage and often collaborating with Maurice Jarre and Vangelis. His only feature film, the 1971 Aussi loin que l'amour (As Far as Love Can Go), featured - among others - Stéphane Audran, Claude Chabrol and Salvador Dalí. Rossif died from a heart attack April 18, 1990 in Paris, France and is buried at world famous Cimetière du Montparnasse.
