Robert Wiersum

Hailing from Groningen, The Netherlands, Robert made a significant mark on the music scene in the 90s and 00s under his DJ alias, Rohbadobh. Known for his vibrant and eclectic sets, Robert was a key promoter for the Zapclub and Simplon during this period, where he organized hundreds of dance parties and concerts, bringing a dynamic energy to Groningen’s nightlife. In addition to his DJ and promoter roles, Robert worked at the legendary record store Hemmes in Groningen during the 90's and 00's, where he further immersed himself in the music community, sharing his extensive knowledge and passion for records with customers. Robert was also one of the producers of the act Simm Alley, which produced the first Dutch jungle/drum'n'bass record. From 2017-2024 Robert worked at Deepgrooves Entertainment. He was the designer for their in-house labels: Deeptrax Records, Regrooved Records, CONTRAFACT, Tech-um and more... Robert also served as the label manager for Regrooved Records, which focused on reissuing classic funk and soul records, as well as curating new compilations in these genres.
