In post production, Karp specializes in mixing, editing, restoration and recording for theatrical, broadcast, streaming and home video. In the music industry, he is a producer, mixer, recording engineer and composer. He worked as a music production instructor at Musicians Institute, RIT from 1994-1998. In 1998-99 he was a recording engineer at Sony Music Studios, Los Angeles. From 1999-2002 he was recording engineer at Royaltone Studios, where he was staff engineer and assistant to many music producers and engineers, working for many major labels and producers (Brendan O'Brien, Rick Rubin, Jerry Finn, Gavin MacKillop, Adrian Belew, Don Gehman). From 2002-2011 he was Post Sound Editor & Mixer at Technicolor in Glendale, CA. From 2011-2015 he was post sound editor & mixer at Deluxe Digital Studios in Burbank, CA. He has also worked at Point.360 (2015-16), 2G Digital (2016), and as sound editor & mixer for Paramount Pictures (2016-2020).
