American melodic death metal band from the San Francisco Bay Area, active since 2002. Their debut album, 765726, was released in 2003 through Reflections of Ruin Records. The label was co-founded by guitarist Tyler Gamlen and drummer Ben Murray, and The Hero Cycle was its first official release. The band went on to release three more albums through Prosthetic Records: 934892 (2005), 615688 (2006), and 879549 (2008). Shortly after the release of Stormchaser, the group disbanded. During the hiatus, vocalist Laura Nichol and drummer Ben Murray formed the punk rock band Heartsounds, while guitarist Ryan Hansen and bassist Jon Frost started the metal project The Urchin Barren. In 2010, the band reunited for a series of four shows between April 8 and April 11. They returned again for a special performance on November 8, 2015, at the San Francisco stop of Darkest Hour’s 20th anniversary tour. Following a nearly decade-long hiatus, the band officially reformed in September 2017 and announced that a new album, 1375501, was in progress through Creator‐Destructor Records. The resulting record was released on May 25, 2018.
