American jazz and pop singer. Born February 16th, 1928 in St. Paul, Minnesota, & grew up in Minneapolis. Died February 6, 2024. Married radio host Leigh Kamman in 1948 (divorced). In 1950, McGovern joined The Honeydreamers, becoming the lead singer between 1950-1954. McGovern had guest TV spots included appearances with Mel Tormé and the Eddie Fisher & Perry Como Shows.
