Swedish sound engineer and music producer, living in Skene, born 8 April 1945 in Västra Frölunda, Gothenburg. He studied 1967–1969 at the Gothenburg Conservatory of Music (church musician program) and was a music teacher at Experimentgymnasiet in Gothenburg from 1970–1976. He then moved on to work as a sound engineer at the progressive record label Nacksving in the same city from 1976-1980 and contributed to a long list of music albums. He was also hired by record labels such as Amalthea, Avanti and Manifest. From 1978 he also appeared in several films. He was also active as a producer in Musik i Väst and Rikskonserter. During the 1980s, Leyman became very interested in the use of synthesizers in music and published Synthesizer: A Book on Electronic Musical Instruments in 1986. From 1984 to 1999, he worked as a consultant and product expert for Yamaha Scandinavia, where he translated and edited all manuals for Yamaha's synthesizers, drum machines and sequencers during these years. Since 1989, he has run his own company, Leyman Music, in music and phonogram production. 2018 produced the exhibition En flitig Örbyflicka – ett konstärsliv, om sinn mors konstärskap, at Rydals Museum in Marks municipality.
