US musicologist and university lecturer (* 12 February 1916 in New York, USA; † 2002). One of the first faculty members of Department of Art and Music Histories, Syracuse University, NY, USA. Co-author with William Fleming of "Understanding Music" (1958), author of the monograph "The Concerto" (1944), and namesake of the Abraham Veinus Prize. Later, an accomplished painter.
