American jazz trombonist, trumpet player and songwriter, best known for co-writing the music for the 1935 song "The Music Goes Round and Round" with Edward Farley and Red Hodgson. Born January 6, 1904 in Fall River, Massachusetts, USA. Died September 2, 1984 Redondo Beach, California, USA. For British trombonist from the 1970's, use Mike Riley (13). Played in Jimmy Durante's band in New York and worked in Chicago in the 1950s.
