Bruno Glenmark

Swedish singer, songwriter, producer, and band leader residing in Täby, born on March 17, 1938, in Tomelilla församling, Tomelilla, SKåne. Bruno Glenmark began studying at 'Malmö Konservatorium' (the Malmö Music Conservatory) in 1960. In 1966, he obtained a music teaching degree at Kungl. Musikaliska Akademien (the Royal Swedish Academy of Music). Glenmark was a trumpeter from 1961 to 1963. He then became the bandleader of his own orchestra, Bruno Glenmarks Orkester, from 1963 and toured with this orchestra, Bruno Glenmarks Orkester, during the 1960s. The soloist from 1968 was Eleanor Bodel. Together with his wife Ann-Louise Hanson and his niece and nephew Karin Glenmark and Anders Glenmark, he was a member of the group Glenmarks from 1971 to 1975. Their first major success came in 1972 with the song 'Gammaldags musik' (Good Old-Fashioned Music) from the record release Gammaldags Musik / Jag Minns Din Hand På Min Arm, for which Bruno Glenmark also wrote the lyrics. Bruno Glenmark was the owner of Glen Studio AB (January 1970–January 1991), Hanson Glenmark Production AB (January 1970–January 1991), Glensongs/Glen Songs (January 1970–January 1991), Glen Artist Promotion (January 1970–January 1991), and founded Loadstone Records in April 2009. However, as of 2026, he is no longer registered as the owner of any company. Bruno Glenmark has been married to Ann-Louise Hanson since January 2, 1966. They are the parents of the twin daughters Jenni Glenmark and Jessica Glenmark and their younger sister Josefin Glenmark. Bruno is also the uncle of Anders Glenmark and Karin Glenmark.
