Formed in 1971 after the dissolution of folk collective La Nouvelle Frontière, comprising twins Marie-Claire and Richard Séguin. Their music combined elements of folk, rock, and poetic lyricism, often addressing themes of ecology, Indigenous rights, social justice, and spiritual reflection. Featuring outstanding harmonies, the Séguins were recognized for their lyrical depth and steadfast commitment to Québec’s growing cultural identity. After 4 albums, the twins disbanded to pursue solo careers. Richard went on to considerable acclaim in collaboration with Serge Fiori in Harmonium.
