American soul singer and songwriter active from the late 1960s until the late 1970s, and best known for his hit, Groove Me. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana (USA) on February 13, 1945. He died of a stroke in Jackson, California (USA) on March 6, 2006. In California, he joined with Harold Battiste.
