Μανώλης Βλάχος

Manólis Vláchos, Greek recording/mixing/mastering engineer, producer, studios & production company founder/owner, and tutor. Born in 1956 in Australia. From 1972 to 1985, he studied and worked in New York City, NY, USA. In 1985, he moved to Greece, first to Sparta and then to Athens. He worked as a sound engineer and producer at IN Recording Studio, recording groups of the Greek Independent Rock Scene such as Forward Music Quintet, The Last Drive, Libido Blume, Μασσέλες, Γενιά Του Χάους, Άδισος, Trespass, Oppressive People Attack, The Jaywalkers, Atria and many others. In 1989, he founded the recording studio Home Studio Ltd. Due to the constantly increasing demands, in 1993, he founded Phase One Recording Studios in a 300 square meters space with three fully equipped studios that were able to host and handle record, theatrical, advertising, etc. recordings. At the same time, in 1995, he began teaching sound engineering and production at Ant1's Εργαστήρι Ελευθέρων Σπουδών (= Free Studies Workshop], where he taught for 18 years. In 2005, he founded NumberNine Productions & Studio Numbernine with his daughter, Maria Vlachos.
