Virginia Morley

American pianist & author. Born October 18, 1915 in Dinuba, California, USA. Died June 15, 2013. Married to pianist Livingston Gearhart (1940-1953, divorced). Married to bandleader Fred Waring (1954-1984, his death). Between 1939-1954 she formed a successful piano duo with her husband, Livingston Gearhart. The Morley and Gearhart duo made several recordings for Columbia Masterworks and Decca Records. When her husband Fred Waring died in 1984, she became Chairman of the Board of Fred Waring Enterprises and its affiliated companies Shawnee press, Inc., GlorySound, Inc. and Harold Flammer, Inc. In 1997, she wrote the book Fred Waring and the Pennsylvanians.
