Romanian-American songwriter and composer. Born July 31, 1910 in Bucharest, Romania. Died April 14, 2000 in USA. Grouya wrote the jazz standard "Flamingo" (1940). Other popular compositions include "I Heard You Cried Last Night", "I'm Misunderstood", "Since You Went Away", "Fascination", "In My Arms", "Two Again", "I Hear It From Everyone But You", and "When Am I Gonna Kiss You Good Morning?". Grouya was Head of Music for MGM in Europe.
