Born in Malawi on 17 May 1962, Rise Kagona was the founder, guitarist, and sole remaining member of Zimbabwean rock band Bhundu Boys. Died 17 September 2024. With the band having broken apart, Mr. Kagona lived in Scotland, doing the odd bit of gigging (still under the Bhundu Boys banner) and supplementing his income by doing ironing at the local charity shop.
