John Kavanagh

Accomplished Irish character actor (*1946) who has appeared in dozens of films, TV programmes, stage plays, and on voice-overs since 1970. He is largely known for his work on British TV, in particular 'The Burke Enigma' (1978), 'The Tudors' (2007-08), and more recently 'Vikings' (2013-14), but has also enjoyed international exposure through his film appearances. He is the younger brother of the singer Anne Bushnell. He is married to the actress Anne Kavanagh, and is the father of Rachel Kavanagh, who also is an actress, and of the musician Jamie Kavanagh.
