Scott Phares
A native of Los Angeles. Saw the Beatles twice in concert. First member of the Hollywood Stars, recruited by Kim Fowley at Rodney Bingenheimer's English Disco in 1973. Lead vocalist on the debut album that the Stars recorded for Columbia Records, Shine Like a Radio, but the album was shelved until 2013 due to A&R shake ups at Columbia. After leaving the Hollywood Stars in late 1974, Scott fronted a Hollywood band called Hero for two albums. By the early '80s, he had given up on music and shifted focus to software development.
