Rap group from San Antonio, Texas. The Underground Committee was a Chicano gangster rap group from San Antonio, TX, made up of J-Roc, Big Rob, Big Daddy Getto (B.D.G.), Southern Kumphert (S.K.), Apollo, Drops, Spanx and several other rappers affiliated with the group. The Underground Committee released 3 albums in the early 2000's through Last Hour Records, entitled "The Prophecy" (2000), "For Da Profit" (2001) and "Tight Revenue" (2002). They featured some other Chicano rappers from the area including Fade Dogg. Those releases are regarded as San Antonio classics. Several members of the group (J-Roc, Drops & Big Daddy Getto) were then part of another group called Poetic Vandals along with members of a short-lived collective named Illegal Amigos. J-Roc also dropped a solo album.
