Gilles Bertin (born 25 March 1961, Paris, France – died 7 November 2019, Barcelona, Spain) was a French singer and bassist. In 1988, he participated in a robbery on the Toulouse department of Brink's along with a dozen other robbers. Within two years all participants of the robbery were caught except for Bertin, who had fled to Spain, and then later, Portugal where he ran a record shop dedicated to alternative rock. Declared dead in 2010 by French authorities, he returned to France in November 2016 to face justice. He was sentenced to five years with suspension, after the prosecution cited "good conduct."
