瀬木佑未子

Yumiko Arima (born November 3) is a Japanese singer-songwriter, stage actress, narrator, and hat maker born in Cranbrook, Canada. Born in Cranbrook, Canada. After that, she lived in Japan, Hong Kong, and California, USA. She returned to Japan in 1987. In 1990, under the name "Seki Yumiko (関ゆみ子)," she made her debut as a singer with "ゆめいっぱい," the opening theme song for the Fuji TV anime "Chibi Maruko-chan." In 1992, she changed her name to "関有美子" and released the single "EVERY HAPPINESS" (as the theme song for "Sylvanian Families"). Around the summer, she changed her name to "瀬木佑未子" and began participating in omnibus albums and providing songs to other artists. She also formed the female vocal group "Beaches" with Takada Mayuko(髙田万由子) and Kurosawa Mariko (黒澤摩璃子), releasing two singles and an album. She later changed her name to "有馬ゆみこ." When she made her debut as a singer in 1990, she and her staff decided on the stage name "関ゆみこ." However, when she first saw her name on TV, it was mistakenly written as "関ゆみ子." She confessed in a blog post that she couldn't bring herself to ask for it to be corrected, and so she started performing under that name. After that, she lamented, she found herself caught in a mysterious spiral of typos, with her name listed as "関ゆめ子" in karaoke books and "岡ゆみ子" in newspapers.
