John Duffy

1927-1972. Pianist and organist. Emigrated from Ireland to Pittsburgh in 1933 & demonstrated exceptional musical abilities as a child. Played in local dance bands and the Art Kassel orchestra as pianist. Moved to Hollywood in the 40's to become music director for ABC and later NBC radio and TV stations during the late 40's and 50's. Most well-known program-The Lassie Show. Later became a lounge performer at a number of venues in the San Fernando Valley during the 1960's.
