Frank Meyer

Frank Meyer is an actor, voice actor, cabaret artist, and author from Cologne, Germany. He began his career as a radio play actor for WDR in the early 1960s and later became co-director of the International Juggler Festival and a lecturer at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen. His work spans theatre, television, and radio productions for ARD, DLF, ZDF, 3sat, and the BBC. Meyer has performed at the LitCologne literature festival, produced numerous audiobooks, and received the Cologne Theatre Award for Das Fest as well as the German Literature and Theatre Prize for his solo show Dedicated to the Madness of Theatre! — a witty and insightful piece of literary cabaret about the eccentricities and absurdities of stage life. Born around 1950, Frank Meyer continues to be celebrated for his sharp rhetoric, humor, and enduring love of theatre.
