Hans van Oost

Dr. Hans van Oost (b. 1946) is a Dutch jazz tuba player, retired physician, researcher, and collector of various mechanical music devices, such as "orchestrions" and street/fairground organs; he lives in 's-Gravenzande, a small town near The Hague. Hans van Oost was a member of The Green River Jass Band between 1963 and 1981, recording on the first two LP albums. In 1993, van Oost joined the Kring van Draaiorgelvrienden (KDV), "Society of Barrel Organ Enthusiasts," as a committee member; subsequently, Hand became KDV's vice-president and webmaster.
