Γιώργος Ατματσίδης

Yórgos Atmatsídis, Greek self-taught Pontic lyre/kemençe player, songwriter, singer and educator. Born 15 September 1975 in Lávrio (Laurium), Attica, Greece. At the age of 13, he also began playing keyboards. At the age of 16, he began his artistic career, appearing in night clubs. Since 2004, he began teaching Pontic lyre and kemençe at a school in his place of residence. After the emergence of the coronavirus pandemic, he also made a turn towards composition.
